ANIMATED GIF SERIES- PORTRAITS: June 2016
With this piece, I challenge the perception of portraits of people or groups. The identity of each subject is stripped away + replaced with associative content based on their surroundings. The medium of GIFS leads viewers into a trance-like state, awaiting change despite clear repetition.
This piece was featured in the University of Oregon 2016 Senior Spring Storm Show, + received a Senior Show Award + included in the A&AA End-of-Year Exhibition in the Hayden Gallery.
